The Accountant will be responsible for multiple aspects of accounting including maintaining and preparing balance sheet reconciliations, preparing journal entries, assisting with monthly closings and posting payroll data. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • The Accountant will compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
  • Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Assist auditors at year-end including preparing schedules, invoices, and providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures.
  • Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • The Accountant will perform other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

The Accountant will possess the following:


  • The Accountant will have 1-2 years’ accounting experience; healthcare industry experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Excel. Experience with Great Plains a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field.
  • CPA a plus.
