Job Description

Accounts Payable Coordinator Our client is an established non-profit organization in downtown Chicago seeking a dynamic leader for their AP manager role. Reports directly to the controller and supervises a team of 5. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages Accounts Payable- includes vendor relations and team of AP specialists
  • Process all requests for payments initiated from field offices. Check coding as necessary for budgetary constraints
  • Reviews all daily cash disbursement checks printed in AP- check for accuracy of entry, documentation, and compliance
  • Process all rent payments
  • Maintains vendor database to ensure reliability for cash flow, 1099 reporting and financial reporting
  • Implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including AP functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Manages accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger and accounts payable

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Attention to detail
  • Bachelors Degree (Accounting or Business preferred). Associates Degree and 2 years of AP experience accepted
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • At least 5 years of Accounts Payable experience- 2 years in a direct management role
  • Solid computer skills
