Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • The Assistant Controller will assist with preparing reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activity.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close process.

  • Audit and critically review existing controls and processes.

  • Monitor system information, identify and resolve concerns.

  • Provide leadership on design and implementation of operational accounting procedures in conjunction with the company’s strategic plan, policies, and GAAP.

  • Identify, implement and manage process improvements within the departments and can be involved in cross-functional process improvements.

  • Responsible for team engagement and staff development.

  • The Assistant Controller will perform other related duties and projects as assigned. 

Job Requirements

The Assistant Controller will possess the following:



•        The Assistant Controller will have 7+ years’ related experience. Experience with commodity accounting including market-to-market strongly preferred.

•        Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills.

•        Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

•        The Assistant Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
