Assistant Controller


Our client is a specialty service provider company that is currently looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant Controller will perform general ledger account reconciliation and analysis.
  • Prepare journal entries, monthly closings, monthly financial statements and related reporting.
  • Process month-end balancing and complete the month-end process.
  • Balance sheet, P&L and cash forecasting including monthly variance and fluctuation analysis.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure accuracy of inventory and costs, including variances.
  • Prepare annual income tax support schedules and annual property tax returns with related schedules.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures with emphasis on internal controls.
  • Assume responsibility in support of external financial, tax and loan related audits.
  • Assist with completion and oversight of US GAAP adjustments for foreign entities.
  • Drive improvement in internal controls, processes and procedures, including documentation and testing.
  • Participate in the development and execution of short and long-term goals for the controllership team.
  • The Assistant Controller will perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The Assistant Controller will possess the following:


Requirements


  • The Assistant Controller will have 3-6 years’ related experience. Public accounting experience preferred.
  • International, multi-currency environment experience desired.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • The Assistant Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA strongly desired.
