Chief Financial Officer (BW26988)

Our client is a growing real estate company that is currently looking for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team.  The Chief Financial Officer will be a key asset to the senior leadership group by developing and implementing people and process improvements enabling the company to continue to grow.  The company boasts a team-oriented culture and provides its’ employees with the tools and training necessary to succeed.

The Chief Financial Officer will develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services; preparing growth plans; and assisting with business decisions.  Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • The Chief Financial Officer will oversee and direct the preparation and review of all accounting and financial operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Prepare reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Analyze company’s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
  • Appraise the organization’s financial position and issue periodic financial and operating reports. Evaluate functional areas for process improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
  • Direct and coordinate the establishment of budget programs.
  • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and investment decisions.
  • Oversee the annual audit by a certified public accounting firm including preparation of tax return.
  • Provide hands-on day-to-day leadership and management of the finance and accounting team that is consistent with the mission and core values of the company.
  • The Chief Financial Officer will perform other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

The Chief Financial Officer will possess the following:


  • The Chief Financial Officer will have 10+ years’ progressive accounting experience with a minimum 5 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated leadership strength and process improvement skills.

•        Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, tax planning, auditing, and internal controls.

•        Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.

•        Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.

  • The Chief Financial Officer will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
