Controller (BC26628)

The Controller will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Controller will prepare reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end close process.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Direct preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Support external audit activity as required.
  • Establish and maintain effective and efficient internal controls over accounting and financial reporting functions including documentation of accounting and control policies.
  • Comply with local, state and federal and multi-national government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Effectively manage financial staff including hiring, developing, motivating, mentoring and retaining staff.
  • The Controller will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The Controller should possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • The Controller will have 10+ years’ accounting experience; manufacturing experience required. Prior public accounting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
  • The Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA preferred.
