Controller (KC26192)

Our client is a professional services company that is growing and they are currently looking for a Controller to join their team.  With a growing accounting and finance team, there is significant opportunity for advancement within the organization.   The company boasts a team-oriented culture, competitive benefits, and provides its’ employees with the tools and training necessary to succeed.

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • The Controller will prepare reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Oversee and manage all general ledger, AR and AP activity.
  • Oversee the accounting functions including publishing global consolidated financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and maintaining effective internal controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly close and financial reporting.
  • Direct preparation and presentation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Support strategic decisions by providing timely and accurate financial analysis.
  • Lead the financial integration of new companies including purchase accounting, standardization of processes, and preparation of consolidated pro-forma financials.
  • Responsible for coordination of activities for audits and tax filings processes.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals.
  • The Controller will work on other special projects and duties as needed.

Job Requirements

The Controller should possess the following:


  • The Controller will have 7+ years’ accounting/finance experience. A blend of public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in multi-currency, purchase accounting, international environment including inter-company consolidations and eliminations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products; specifically Excel.
  • The Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related field. MBA a plus.
  • CPA required.
