Corporate Accountant


Our client is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join their team.  This is a newly created position due to growth!  With a large and growing accounting and finance team, there is significant opportunity for growth and advancement within the organization.  The company boasts a fun team-oriented culture, flexible schedule, casual environment and provides its’ employees with the tools and training necessary to succeed.


The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of accounting. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Corporate Accountant will compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
  • Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
  • Assist with the accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of management reporting package and other ad hoc reporting requirements; including investor, banker, tax and acquisition reporting requests.
  • Review/audit business unit account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review financial audit schedules and assists with the audit process.
  • Identify potential accounting issues, research applicable accounting literature, and propose solutions to accounting management including drafting technical memos to document company’s accounting conclusions regarding accounting issues.
  • Participate in support for acquisition accounting efforts, including valuation work, research of accounting policies for GAAP compliance and potential accounting/financial statement issues.
  • Participate in the maintenance, improvement, and documentation of internal controls and internal policies and procedures.
  • The Corporate Accountant will perform account analysis and other special projects as requested.

Job Requirements

The Corporate Accountant will possess the following:


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • The Corporate Accountant will have 4+ years accounting experience, including 2+ years public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
  • The Corporate Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA preferred.
