Cost Accountant (KL26620)

The Cost Accountant will be involved in the daily financial operations of the manufacturing plant and be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Cost Accountant will determine, analyze and report costs of business projects and record results.
  • Update standard and actual costs in the bill of materials.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing order and reconciliation of all production and inventory movement.
  • General ledger account reconciliations and analysis as required.
  • Record and report on project cost data for use by management.
  • Produce, analyze, and communicate product profitability reports.
  • Coordinate and oversee the month-end closing process working directly with the corporate accounting team to include WIP processing, inventory control and analysis, etc.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory cycle counts.
  • Assist with plant forecasting and budgeting.
  • Assist Plant Controller in supervision and support of plant accounting staff including plant payroll processes.
  • The Cost Accountant will assist with other duties and special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

The Cost Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

  • The Cost Accountant will have 1+ years of accounting experience. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles. Experience with cost accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization is a must.
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Experience with SAP preferred.
  • The Cost Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
