Financial Analyst

Our client is very successful construction company that is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team.  This position will be a nice blend of financial analysis with some accounting. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for day-to-day financial support, reporting financial results, and other reporting and analytical projects. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • The Financial Analyst will conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.

  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.

  • Maintain general ledger for the division.

  • Prepare and review supporting documentation for transactions and general ledger balances in compliance with company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley documentation requirements.

  • Prepare and review journal entries to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

  • Direct preparation of studies, reports, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as sales, budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.

  • Prepare reports and analysis to management including, but not limited to variance reports and operational metrics.

  • Work with and provide financial information to internal and external auditors and responds to the audit reports, as required.

  • The Financial Analyst perform other duties and work on special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

The Financial Analyst will possess the following:


  • The Financial Analyst will have 1-3 years related experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting environment.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong computer skills including advanced working knowledge of Excel.

  • The Financial Analyst will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA a plus.
