Human Resource Manager

Our client is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their growing organization.  This is an excellent opportunity to lead an HR department for a growing company, work directly with the leadership, manage a small team, and enjoy a strong work-life balance.     

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the annual benefit renewal process and maintaining employee benefits programs

  • Working directly with outside benefits/insurance vendors, attorneys, and other consultants 

  • Evaluate and recommend solutions in situations requiring legal compliance and working with outside counsel if necessary to manage the risk of the the organization

  • Oversee the recruiting functions of the organization and assist as needed with candidates assessments, interviewing, and recruitment activities

  • Partner with Safety Manager and sit on safety committee to help develop and promote appropriate safety guidelines for the organization and its employees

  • Assist managers with any personnel discussions, annual evaluations, goal setting, disciplinary actions, and other employee relations related activities

  • Manage and assess orientation and onboarding processes for new hires and lead ongoing development and training programs

  • Ensure compliance with new and existing employment laws and regulations

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience

  • Preference for prior management experience

  • BA/BS in Human Resources or related degree

  • PHR/SPHR or other HR related certifications preferred

  • General knowledge and experience in areas of employee relations, employment law, benefits, recruitment, and other employee generalist functions preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Positive attitude 

  • Strong organizational skills
