IT Auditor

The IT Auditor will assist with internal audit functions relating to information technology auditing. The IT Auditor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The IT Auditor will work closely with decision makers within internal audit to identify, recommend and support cost effective technology solutions for the company.
  • Inspect accounting systems to determine their efficiency and protective value.
  • Execute IT risk based audit plans in accordance with internal audit’s approach and methodology.
  • Perform IT audits and report findings to audit management.
  • Provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business processes.
  • Analyze data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, government regulations, and management policies or procedures.
  • Work with management to develop corrective action plans for weaknesses identified during audits and monitor remediation progress.
  • Assist with the development of the IT risk assessment.
  • Participate in strategic level initiatives, such as integrated auditing, data analytics and consultative activities.
  • The IT Auditor will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The IT Auditor will possess the following:


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • The IT Auditor will have 3+ years’ internal audit experience, IT audit experience a plus.
  • Understanding of risk assessment, control analysis and audit methodology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Experience with SAP preferred.
  • The IT Auditor will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • CISA or CIA preferred.
