Manager of Financial Accounting

The Manager of Financial Accounting will be responsible for day-to-day activities that support the company’s accounting activities. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


Responsibilities:

  • The Manager of Financial Accounting will record and analyze the company’s financial information.
  • Coordinates monthly financial closes, set deadlines and standards for completion of financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain applicable accounting policies and procedures for areas under control.
  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee the general ledger system.
  • Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place and are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Manage of team of professionals that includes their coaching, development and performance management.
  • Works with external and internal auditors to ensure financial statements adhere to accounting policies and good financial control.
  • Acts as liaison between Finance and other departments within the organization.
  • The Manager of Financial Accounting will participate in special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

The Manager of Financial Accounting will possess the following:


Requirements:

  • The Manager of Financial Accounting will have 5+ years’ accounting experience including 1+ year management experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls and requirements.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Experience with ERP systems and/or HFM preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • The Manager of Financial Accounting will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA preferred.
