Job Description

A local mid-size distributor, located north of Milwaukee, is looking to hire a full-time permanent Controller/Office Manager.  The position will be very hands on and be a mix of day to day accounting, month end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and any other accounting related duties. This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity. 

Controller/Office Manager Duties may include the following:

  • Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts to general ledger.

  • Summarize details in separate ledgers and transfer data to general ledger.

  • Reconcile and balance accounts.

  • Compile reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.

  • Prepare withholding, Social Security, and other tax reports.

  • Generate financial statements.

  • Complete records to or though trial balance.

Job Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • 6+ years of accounting experience

  • Intermediate Excel skills

  • Manufacturing or Distribution experience a plus
