The Payroll Manager will oversee all functions associated with processing bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for the company’s employees.  The Payroll Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Payroll Manager will oversee all day-to-day payroll processing and reporting in accordance with all federal, state and local tax laws.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, monthly and special payrolls for all company employees.
  • Evaluate and document business procedures related to payroll processes.
  • Authorize employee deductions and employee data changes in coordination with human resources.
  • Partner with various internal departments including accounting, operations, information technology, human resources, and legal.
  • Oversee status changes, garnishments, direct deposits, etc.
  • Responsible for administration of the company’s time-entry system.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Maintain required documentation for all payroll-related functions.
  • The Payroll Manager will perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The Payroll Manager will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • The Payroll Manager will have 5+ years’ payroll processing experience.
  • Experience in a complex payroll environment such as multiple shifts, varied pay provisions, etc. preferred.
  • Knowledge of a variety of payroll concepts, practices, and procedures including federal and state laws governing payroll.
  • Strong computer skills including payroll systems and Microsoft Office products. Experience with ADP required.
  • The Payroll Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other business related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
