Our client is a large manufacturing company that is a recognized leader in their industry. Reporting directly to the President of the division, the Plant Controller will be responsible for:


  • The Plant Controller will prepare reports to summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.

  • Responsible for all reporting and analysis of financial results related to site operations.

  • Direct and validate all accounting activities including labor distribution, inventories, general receipts, scrap, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets transactions and journal entries.

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial forecasts for site manufacturing.

  • Identify and resolve reporting discrepancies and concerns involving system processing or plant policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for the preparation of the site manufacturing annual operating plan and related processes.

  • Participate in projects to drive process cost improvements to create efficiency and improve operating cash flow.

  • Ensure the integrity of plant product costs by generating and reviewing monthly weighted cost reports.

  • Plan and develop the annual plant operating budgets based on current plant capabilities and desired cost, service and quality objectives.

  • Direct payroll activities to ensure proper calculation of wages, deductions and tax.

  • The Plant Controller will assist with other special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

The Plant Controller will possess the following:


  • The Plant Controller will have 7+ years’ experience; public accounting and manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general accounting, cost accounting, purchasing, and payroll policies and procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.

  • The Plant Controller will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA a plus.

  • CPA preferred.
