Our client, a growing real estate company, is currently looking for a Project Accountant to join their team.  This position will give the right person plenty of opportunity to learn a lot about real estate. The Project Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • The Project Accountant will compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.

  • Monitor cash balances for portfolio and reconciliation of bank statements.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial property reports.

  • Interpret, review and summarize commercial lease agreements and input into the database.

  • Liaison between legal, leasing and accounting departments with respect to lease administration.

  • Coordinate with legal, accounting and construction project manager during the setup of construction escrows.

  • Work with construction project manager on contracts for outsourced construction projects.

  • The Project Accountant will assist with other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

The Project Accountant will possess the following:


  • The Project Accountant will have 2-3 years’ accounting experience; construction or real estate operations experience a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Experience with Yardi a plus.

  • The Project Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field.

  • CPA and/or pursuing CPA certification a plus.
