Our client is a manufacturing and distribution company that is looking for a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join their team.  This position will be a blend of both corporate accounting and financial analysis responsibilities. The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will conduct special studies to analyze financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.

  • Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly gross margin analysis.

  • Assist with the month-end close process including reconciling data, preparing calculations, gathering information necessary for accruals, and preparing journal entries.

  • Direct preparation of studies, reports, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.

  • Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.

  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.

  • Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls.

  • Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others.

  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.

  • The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will assist with special projects and other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will possess the following:


  • The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will have 3+ years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong GAAP and cost accounting standards experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong computer skills including advanced working knowledge of Excel. Experience with ERP systems preferred.

  • The Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
