Senior Accountant (KC26111)

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting duties. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibilities:

•        The Senior Accountant will prepare, review and analyze company financials to ensure accurate reporting.

•        Review and analyze property financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Interpret operating results as they affect the organization and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and corresponding journal entries.
  • Review monthly balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements for accuracy.
  • Assist with month end close procedures.
  • Maintain fixed asset and record monthly depreciation entries.
  • Create and maintain investor reports.
  • The Senior Accountant will assist with other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • The Senior Accountant will have 5+ years accounting experience; real estate accounting experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Experience with Sage Intacct and/or investment software a plus.
  • The Senior Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Associates degree with demonstrated experience will be considered.
  • CPA or in process of obtaining CPA preferred.
