The Senior Accountant will collaborate with key internal partners and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • The Senior Accountant will interpret operating results as they affect the organization and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the development, proposal, and communication of corporate accounting policies, procedures and financial information.
  • Monthly accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Lead work and analyses developed by staff accountants.
  • Lead the coordination, collection, and flow of financial results for internal and external reporting to regulatory agencies, senior management, trustees, and others.
  • Perform all management duties including, but not limited to, budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, coordinating and scheduling work, salary recommendations, and training and mentoring employees.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of internal controls that ensure proper, accurate, and timely recording of transactions and protection of assets.
  • The Senior Accountant will assist with special projects and other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:


  • The Senior Accountant will have 3+ years’ general accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.  
  • Demonstrated and working knowledge of GAAP, and financial skills such as budgeting and basic accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills.
  • The Senior Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • CPA preferred.
