Job Description

Senior Accountant

Our client is a specialty manufacturing company that is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team.  With a large and growing accounting and finance team, there is significant opportunity for advancement within the organization.  The company boasts a fun team-oriented culture, strong benefits and provides its employees with the tools and training necessary to succeed.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


  • The Senior Accountant will interpret operating results as they affect the organization and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Review and analysis of monthly statements to identify trends, patterns, margins, etc.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and prepare and record standard and adjusting journal entries for month-end close.
  • Review fixed asset register monthly and maintain asset information. Add new assets quarterly, assess depreciation on idle assets and remove scrapped assets from the register.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Responsible for inventory control and reporting.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of accounting process improvements and efficiencies.
  • The Senior Accountant will complete financial reports and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Other duties and special projects as needed.

Job Requirements

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:


  • The Senior Accountant will have 7+ years related experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple levels of management.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel. Experience with SAP a plus.
  • The Senior Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA a plus.
  • CPA or progressing towards CPA certification a plus.
