Our client is a leading global manufacturing company that is currently looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their team. The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:



RESPONSIBILITIES


  • The Senior Revenue Accountant will assist with the preparation of financial statements.

  • Analyze, identify and resolve revenue recognition and costing issues/exposures.

  • Manage deferral of revenue related to post-shipment process, ensuring process is correct and in compliance with GAAP and reporting numbers are accurate.

  • Communicate with other departments to ensure understanding of proper revenue and cost recognition.

  • Ensure that projects design and any changes in systems related to revenue recognition and project accounting deliver the functionality required for proper accounting treatment in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Analyze and interpret worldwide revenue at month-end, quarter-end and year-end to verify accuracy with US GAAP. Adjust revenue/cost as appropriate for accurate reporting.

  • Reconcile project related balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

  • Responsible for ensuring all SOX controls are adhered to. Revenue recognition is 20% of all SOX controls within finance.

  • Responsible for audits related to revenue recognition and project accounting.

  • The Senior Revenue Accountant will participate in special projects as necessary.


Job Requirements

The Senior Revenue Accountant will possess the following:



EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


  • The Senior Revenue Accountant will have 5+ years’ increasingly complex experience in accounting. Public accounting experience desired.

  • Knowledge and understanding of US GAAP reporting requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills including Excel. Experience with SAP a plus.

  • The Senior Revenue Accountant will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

  • CPA and/or pursuing CPA certification preferred.
